Our First Week In South Africa

We have been in South Africa for a whole week, and we are finally adjusted and settled in.  I so love being home, and just being able to take it slow.

Jet lag is pure evilness, but we actually adjusted pretty easily this time around - maybe because the kids are slightly older?

We have been taking it slow, just relaxing, meeting up with a few people, and visiting a little food market that we love.

This food market is one of my favorites, and I just love walking around and looking at all the food.  (the pictures are phone pictures, because I forgot my camera)

We spend Friday night with my parents, just catching up, and sitting outside and hanging out while the sun was sitting, and the moon was rising.  I love them <3

We had an afternoon with close friends (the kids godparents) and made pizza while hanging out around the swimming pool.  I am so thankful for the friendship we have cultivated over the last thirteen years.

It has been raining on and off since have arrived - it is not cold by any means, but the pool water isn't as warm as expected.  The kids were getting tired if the adults telling them that is is too cold to swim, so I caved and told them to try it out.  So they did, they sucked it up shivering, and blue lipped - refusing to get out - just to prove said adults wrong.  I must admit, I did delight in their laughter as they swam and splashed away.

I am so in love with my mom's garden, it is beautiful with a ton of flowers and so peaceful - such a nice change in pace.

We are getting ready to go on a little safari this weekend - one of my favorite things to do.  You can seen our last safari here.

Hayleigh has been enjoying her little camera, but most of the photos still turns out blurry.  Here is two that turned out pretty good.  She is a selfie master - we are in trouble.

Time is flying by so quickly - it makes me sad.

I am still enjoying writing by one thousand gift list.

59. Lego laser tag.

60. Arriving in South Africa.
