This year seems to just fly by, and everyday it seems to just happen faster and faster.
It makes me excited because it means it's not going to be much longer and we will be off to South Africa to see my family.

One of my favorite things I miss about Germany is the distinct change in seasons, were we currently live - there is none of that, it goes for extremely hot to cool.
This last week were so lucky to have a drastic drop in temperature (with rain - yay) , and it felt so much like fall - a welcomed feeling.
We had epic plans on Saturday to take the kids to the corn maize, and then it rained out - so instead we had an extremely lazy weekend, and it was fabulous.
Last year the kids and I were in South Africa for the whole fall season, we had an extended summer, so we kind of missed out on our fall activities.
So with my Sunday morning cup of tea I decided to jot down the ten things we want to do this fall. Simple, but fun.
1. Go to a corn maze.
2. Goapple picking.
3. Make anapple pie with the apples we picked ourselves.
4. Find a pumpkin patch.
5. Make apumpkin pie before Thanksgiving.
6. Makeapple cider, and drink it around a little camp fire in the fire pit.
7. Do fall crafts with the kids.
8. Let the kids jump into a huge pile of leaves (once they fall down.)
9. Makepumpkin bread.
10. Go to theNature Preserve, and find colorful leaves.
UPDATE: 11/27 We never made it around to the fall crafts sections this year, thanks to a cold I have been battling for a couple of weeks now, and well we decided to decorate for Christmas, so the Christmas cheer is in fulls swing. The leaves have yet to fall down, so scratch that one as well.
I am hoping to bring back the love for fall, even though we don't really have fall weather to be a motivator.
