Happy Birthday To.... Me

Another year celebrated, with the three that I love the most.

Nate was off on my birthday this year, like we woke up in bed together off, generally he comes of shift, so that was such a nice little surprise on my birthday.

One of my favorite things to do is to have tea or coffee (I mostly drink tea, and he mostly drinks coffee) sometimes we switch it up, in the morning with Nate.  When it it is still dark outside, the living room is dim, and currently we still have the lights up from Hayleigh's birthday party - it is just so pretty.

We would just sit and chit chat - and have some of the best conversations.

They made me breakfast.

Waffles.....

We had a simple day, everyone went shopping with me.  Nothing like family shopping at Home Goods and Target.  I mostly do everything online and then drive forever far away for groceries once a week, those days are so busy that I just do that and come home, so I don't go into stores all that often.

It was a fabulous treat.

We had a lovely lunch, out in the sunshine.

It is my new favorite burrito place.  They have a super clean, and whole-some menu - grass fed meats, non-GMO foods - it is affordable and delicious.

Flowers and dinner, two of my favorite things.

They even made me a cake, candles and all.  We came home so late - so this one bowl chocolate cake saved the day.

Isn't it so pretty?  We had to scrounge around again for leftover candles.

Also it was so late at night (I for once one the cool mom award) that we all showered, got on our jammies, and had cake.

It was so pretty all lit up.

I am still pretty awkward when it come to pictures, I am so much better at taking them - ha!

I need some help, lucky for me I had two eager beavers hanging around.

I am kind of surprised that the smoke decorators didn't go off - it did heat up the dining room pretty good.

The kids went to bed, Nate and I found a cozy spot on the couch with a glass of wine, admiring the pretty light (like I want to keep them up forever.)

We reflected on another year, and how much better this year has been than last year.

It has been so nice to be able to breathe, and for life to slow down.

I am the luckiest to have been able to celebrate this day with three I love so much - they made my feel so loved - exactly what a birthday should be.

I always feel so inspired and motivated after a birthday - like a new clean, crisp page, to write another story.

Thank you for all the phone calls, text messages, and Facebook posts.  Each one blessed me.

  Happy Saturday!
