Happy New Year

I wish I had some great story about an elaborate New Year's Eve party with lots if wine, and good friends...

but I don't... sorry!

The reality is - I have been sick on and off since returning back to the States from South Africa - and the last ten days have had me couch bound.  It has been pure torture... we had to cancel that New Year's Eve party - and I had no wine ;(

So we spent the day at home (in pajamas) and Nate made shrimp tacos for dinner (I am the luckiest) - it was delicious.

  We put the kids to bed - scooped out some cheesecake that wasn't set all the way, (I was to miserable to wait - and I can never say no to this cheesecake), ate it, while waiting FRIENDS.....

And well I went to bed.... I woke up at one with Hayleigh and realized I slept through everything - the noise, the fireworks, the drama.

I am hoping 2017 will be better than my ending of 2016!

I am ready for some stability, and family adventure.
