I have been so busy building our business and creating the website, it has kept me so busy.
And then of course the kids - we tend to spend the mornings outside under the mulberry trees, and retreat back into the house after lunch when the heat is some what unbearable - hello West Texas!
I have also spend the majority of other time scouring the internet for tickets to go home - so Nate can finish off his last semester of paramedic school without feeling bad for never seeing us. I found the deal - and the kids and I will be heading out the first week of September until the end of the year. It is kind of a short notice little trip - but that is ok -and it is what works for now.
I am so super excited to go home, and see my family, and just get a way for a little while - the kids are excited to see their grandparents and well we get an extended summer - with lots of back yard and pool playing.
A few things we have enjoyed this month.
Fresh flowers.
Flowers have this amazing power to pull me out any sort of funk I might be in. This was the perfect little pick me up, for missing the island life in Hawaii.
Little flowers from a little girl.
Hayleigh and I share the love for flowers. We have this rogue flower bush in our back yard, that we cut out and it comes back, the beauty of it is, she can pick off all the flowers today, and when we wake up and the morning they have multiplied. So Hayleigh picks these tiny flowers daily for our table, and it makes us so happy.

Little Hawaiian reminders.
I love all our little treasures we brought back, they are sure to put a smile on your face. My love for sea turtles continues.
Splash park fun.
We have been making a weekly little trip to the splash park with some sweet friends, and it is definitely a highlight of our week. The kids play so well together, and I get to interact with a grown up- who is super sweet and so encouraging. I love you Amanda!
Impromptu family lunch dates.
These are my favorite kind of lunch dates - unexpected, spare of the moment. We have a favorite little Mexican joint in town, and all of us love it, and gets to eat something we enjoy. Everyone is happy, and we all get to spend some time together.
Fresh fruit.
One my and Hayleigh's favourite summer things - watermelon and cherries. We will eat it all day, every single day, and still love it.
We are on the last stretch of Nate's semester, and he will have a week or some off in August - we are so excited for that time together.
It is birthday prepping for the kids - one of my favourite things in the world.
And then just a short while, before I get to hug my mom and dad. I will be spending my time in between birthday prepping to get everything together for our trip.
It has been a crazy whirlwind kind of year, and I am kind of excited to slow down, and skip the hustle and bustle of Fall and Christmas in the States - it is always so overwhelming.
Here is a cheers to the rest of summer.
Happy summer's day, friends.
