Spring is here, and we have been celebrating, with good food, as well as lots and lots of yard work.
It feels good to be back to normal and little more active, after a two week long back and forth of being sick.
Nate and I were able to sneak away one Saturday for a quick little lunch date. One of our favourites - fried calamari with fried veggies, and shrimp tacos.
His schedule have been so insane, that it was a nice break to have him home for a few days in a row.
We are all finally pretty much adjusted to this new schedule for this year, and super excited for his big school break in May - hopefully our plans will pull through - Hawaii here we come!
The kids and I had another day of making chocolate covered marshmallows- they are such a hit, and so simple to make. Ok, well let's face it, they are super fun to make, and oh so delicious!
We have been soaking up the sunshine, and spent a lot of time de-weeding our backyard. Millie cat is sad, it has become her hide-out. But it is time, and I am convinced that it will never stop - I hate pulling weeds.
The kids on the other hand love it - they get to pick flowers, and blow the dandelions - spreading more seeds to grow and cover the yard. It is a blast.
Hayleigh was super quiet one more, and well in this house that is never a goog thing. I snuck up on here - and found this. It melted my heart. Millie cat is the perfect cat for our family, and everyone loves her so dearly. She has personality and she loves to be around people.
Hayleigh reading to her favourite black cat.
We also enjoyed some of our favourite breakfast foods.
I am excited for the beautiful warm weather and to watch everything bloom.
Also seeing this....
every time I look out the back door, makes my heart leap!!
Happy Friday!
