Now we are adjusting to all the above but add ambulance ride-outs (when not on shift) as well as clinicals. It has been a harder adjustments, and the kids aren't too thrilled about it, but luckily it just this year - just one year - we can do this.
This was a particularly rough week for the kids, just missing daddy and wanting home.
So Wednesday night Nate came home (they had to many guys and not enough beds at the station) and though it was frustrating because they take it out of his comp time, that he is working so hard on to get overtime - it turned out to be perfect timing.
We had a impromptu little family dinner date - the kids loved it. It was just what we needed!

I love the selfie feature on cell phones today - it makes it so much easier! |
They were so happy to get out of the house, and to have daddy home too.
Fried pickles, a burger, and fries makes everything better!
Nate was home on Thursday so I took the opportunity to run some errands and take care of some medical stuff, while being kid-free. All I can say is that errands is so fast and easy without having kids. I love having them with me, but sometimes I just want to be fast.
They stayed home with Nate and they loved it. Train track galore (it is still up on the floor in the living room, and they love it)
And then I came home to this....

I am still deciding what to think, I mean I know he probably needed a haircut - but now he looks so big!
