Our year is off to a pretty good start.
We have spend the last week unpacking the last boxes (yes you read that right) and organizing and purging the house. I really hate excess it makes me feel weighed down, and it causes major anxiety - so every so often we go through everything and toss all the broken things, sell the things we don't need or want for some extra cash, and sort and organize the rest.
It has been a very busy week for us, but we found some time to have fun - water painting has become part of our mornings - the kids paint and I sip on my tea taking it all in - with so much gratitude.
The made the cutest little glove garland for the dinning room. I love adding little things they make to the house.

We are finally finishing up the last little bit of the renovating process - you know all the things that round of the house and makes it look pretty but it doesn't hamper living here.
We have been putting it off for months, just wanting to rest and settle in, well the other day Hayleigh was sad because her room wasn't done and we still haven't hung any pictures in the bedrooms.
So I decided it is the perfect time for a little revamp. We will be using the money for the yardsale to take each kid shopping to pick out a few items for their rooms (pictures for the wall that kind of thing) and finally finishing up the last little bit.
We did went on a little family date, but I forgot my camera :( so no pictures. But it was good for me to be in the moment and not capturing it from the outside like I do so often.

Even though it is little chaotic now with all these unfinished projects. we find quiet moments in the morning sun to snuggle and read our favorite books. These moments are priceless, and they keep me calm and grounded.
I'll hopefully be able to do a start a before and after post on some of the rooms in the house at the end of the month, so stayed tuned.
Happy Sunday, friends!
