My parents have been here for a few days now, and I think they have managed the time difference and jet-lag like champs. It looks like we are all on the same schedule now.
It has been so awesome waking up in the mornings sitting in the living room sipping my tea, and my my mom walk in, some days I have to pinch myself - is this for real. I am going to be so sad when they have to go home, and I try not to think about it, even though I know it's coming, and the creeping up speeds up the more fun you have.
We have been taking it easy, and the kids love it. They are so happy and excited.
My dad and Ian has had this weird little bond since birth, and it is crazy how a thousand miles apart, it flourishes, and when they get together it is over - no one else matters to Ian, just his oupa.
I absolutely love watching them play constantly, my dad has so much patience with him, playing on the floor literally all day long - trains and legos are a favourite.
My parents are so awesome, they came all the way from South Africa, and they are willing to help me tame my jungle of a back yard, so yesterday they got up and picked and plucked every single weed, sticker, and torn they could find. All I can say - thank you!! I am so happy you like doing stuff like that!
It was also the perfect time for my mom to teach the kids about all kinds of bugs, especially an ant lion - she even caught one for them.
Hayleigh just likes to snuggle. I love this picture!

My baby will be three in two days!! All I want to know - is when did that happen?
I can't believe how big she is, how much she has grown, and how much she talks.
I am sad and excited at the same time - it is so hard.
For now we are just enjoying the company. I am soaking in the beauty - of grandparent and grandkis together.
And we are in birthday mode - three birthdays in two weeks.
Stay tuned for our birthday celebrations.
Happy Thursday!
