Dragging

We celebrated Hayleigh's birthday and then right after that Ian and I got a nasty cold, and we have been recovering from that ever since.  We are finally on the mend, and I feel tons better with a little more energy and motivation.  Ian no longer has a fever, and is on the mend as well, thank God.

So  much have happened in the last few days, that I need to collect my thoughts...

We before everyone got sick, we received our monthly Kiwi Crate  box and we were able to do all the project in the box for this month.  It included homemade kites, and rocket ships.  We had so much fun making these, and I just love that the kids are pretty much able to do everything with a little assistance of course.  It is create for hands on learning.  They have been playing with the rocket ships ever since...

Everything was going great, and then we got sick.

I didn't take any pictures the week we were sick, we pretty much stayed in, watched movies, got more acquainted with kitty Kylie, snuggled, rested, read books, and snuggled some more.

In this time I also experimented with a some essential oils, and can I just say I am a huge fan.  So much so that my mother-in-law suggested that I sign up to become a member, so I did.  For all your essential oil needs, I am here, and experimenting like crazy.  More on that soon!

Hayleigh didn't get sick, so daddy and Hayleigh went on many adventures while Ian and mommy rested..

We finally started feeling better yesterday, so we decided to paint some bird houses with ouma for her tree outside.  It was the perfect little project to make us feel productive and useful, but yet not tiresome, and strenuous.  We ended up painted paper plates as well.  Ian had a ton of fun, especially after he has been down and sickish.  It made me happy to see him smile and laugh, and excited about something.

Our day took a turn towards homemade ice-cream - that makes everything better.  My motto is ice cream fixes everything and makes everyone feel better, and when it is homemade it is even better.  The kids had so much fun helping ouma, and it turned out pretty tasty.

Nate has an in person job interview on Friday after his phone interview last week.  It looks promising, and we are hoping for the best.  We are ready to get back into a routine, get our own living space, and get back to somewhat normal.

I am hoping to also find my own personal routine with the kids again, especially since we are experimenting with homeschooling.  We will see how it goes.

Happy Tuesday!
