They way he looked at me from the end of the aisle, waiting patiently.
The way we held hands so tightly, coming back.
It was such a beautiful day, and I will never forget it.
I will never forget the way my entire family (well minus my brother - I missed him so much) were together. Aunts and uncles and cousins, who I love so dearly. Grandparents who inspire me. I will never forget all the magic, the beauty, and the perfect, all the tears.
There was so much freedom, and happiness, and love. There was a fanfare of fun that made it's way through the place, and it touched every single soul. The love was so real, you could embrace it and touch it.
It was such a surreal kind of happiness - I love not just for each other, but for the moment, for the life, and for the opportunity to have everyone (besides Charl) there to celebrate life, and the beautiful moments.
Life has changed so much in the last six years.
We have welcomed two babies...
... and we have found so many new ways to love each other.
We don'y have a perfect marriage. Sometimes we forget to communicate, or we get snappy with each other, or we forget to invest time in us, in between diaper changes, and sippy cup refills. We don't always agree on stuff, we know that. We say sorry. We continuously work on our struggle and repair, and slowly it gains more strength then struggle.
Overall we love, we love Jesus, and we love each other. We love so deeply. In the last six years, we have added to our love, and with that we have become happier.
We know what is important, to us and each other,
and we invest in that like crazy.
So, here is to that happy day, the six beautiful years in between, and many more coming.
Happy anniversary Nate! I love you forever and always!
