We had a productive week preparing for the trip, getting the house in order, we made jam {since we were swimming in strawberries}, eating strawberries with some ice cream also became the norm, and even managed to take the little man for a haircut down the street.

Aren't they the cutest? |
Nate and I also had separate day mornings with the kids this week, and I think it was much needed. Nate was invited by one of his German co-workers to go look at the German fire station he volunteers out when he is not working on base.
Nate and I decided that it will be the perfect daddy and Ian date. So off they went on a fun adventure while Hayleigh and I stayed home together. Ian was so excited he could hardly contain himself.
Hayleigh was not impressed to be left behind at first but she quickly warmed up to the idea, after I convinced her that we will be making homemade brownies and homemade ice cream. We are a one camera family, so we decided it is better for the boys to take the camera. I have no evidence of our fun morning dancing around to our beach house video, besides for one photo on my phone, and I am ok with that. I had fun being in the moment and taking mental clips.
Sister ended up exhausted, so we snuggled on the couch as she took a nap on my chest, and oh my, how I am going to miss that when she gets older. She is such a snuggle bug, and I am in love with that side of her personality.
The house is clean, the laundry is done, folded and put away, the fridge is cleaned out - so all that is left is packing our things in a bag and then we are headed on another adventure. I think this is the part of Germany I am going to miss the most.
I will me MIA for about two weeks, but will definitely be back t share our adventure.
First stop Italy, I can't believe that this will be last time for me to go, it makes me sad!!!
Ciao!
Happy Friday!
