The kids and I are home every other day because I am too lazy to get dressed early and take Nate to work to have a car, and since it rained we didn't really have anywhere to go.
We baked cookies, watched movies, snuggled, ready books, made soup, played dolls, build tracks, colored, and build a ton of puzzles. I am content with that, in fact I love that. I did put my camera away to be in the moment with them more instead of clicking away and missing it.
A couple of days ago I got this really amazing solid wood play baby crib from a yard sale for 10 bucks, and everyone is in love with it. The kids have been playing with it for hours, putting a bunch of babies to sleep, rocking it side to side, and praying over the babies. It is the sweetest thing. Hayleigh is so rough and tough, but she has this incredible motherly side, that melts my heart. The ways she kisses her baby to sleep is just beautiful.
Yesterday was the first that is was warm and sunny and were out all day running errands before the weekend, getting all the parts needed for my car to the mechanic, and then we decided to have a nice family lunch, because life is stressful and messy and we needed to cheer up. Well after lunch we were greeted by the most beautiful weather, and we embraced it by working in the garden all afternoon, pulling weeds, playing in puddles after spraying the driveway, and just being together. It was so refreshing!
I am also thrilled to have finally slowly bur surely purged the dinning room, getting rid of excess, and making it simple, clutter free but homey. I love love love the dining room, I think only because Nate build our awesome table. Everything in the dining room is self-made, found at a thrift store or bought on clearance for 10 bucks or under. We are trying to have less, be simple, save, and just enjoy life. To much stuff and clutter makes me feel stressed our, so we have been embracing getting rid of everything we don't use, it will make the move easier as well.
We use our dining room three times a day, we eat every meal at the table, and we love the time of interacting with the kids and talking about the day. Don't get me wrong every meal time is not rainbows and unicorns, sometimes the kids are just not in the mood to interact or they are tired after a long day, but we do try to make it a point to always eat together.

This also a good time to officially announce that we will be separating from the military earlier then we ever thought we would. We have about ten weeks left here in Germany and then we will head of to a new adventure. Fresh pages in our family story book. Even though it is scary at times, we are so excited for all the doors that have opened to make this possible, and all the opportunities that awaits us. I will keep everyone posted as we receive new information and exact dates. All I can say right now is, Texas here we come....
Happy weekend!!
