Every time I sit down to finally wrote about the last week in the Cook house, something happens, the kids wake up after 30 minutes of napping instead of their two hour naps, the phone rings, my washer is done and laundry needs to be swapped, and before I know it I have been distracted by about 20 other things.
Right now the kids are playing contently by my feet, the living room looks like a small tornado went through it, and my tea cup is empty - but I will take it all.
We have had some really nice and sunny days here in Germany. I it super cold, but the sun is shinning, so who cares about the cold. We have introduced after nap walks, since our super awesome jogging stroller finally came in the mail. We are all in love, and we have grown to love the little ritual that looks something like this...
We had some fun times with sweet friends on the weekend. I am so happy to have met my friend Mirka, and she is so awesome, my Moomin collection is growing. Thank you Mirka, my tea time is so much sweeter.
Nate had his Keli-day this week. We spend lots of time playing with the kids, especially the day that went for a walk, and about 1/2 mile away from the house it started to rain ice pebbles on us, so we had to turned around and come all the way home, we spent the rest of the afternoon like this - while catching up on some of our tv shows.
Thank you Citrus Lane for our awesome boxes, and for entertaining my children for hours when the weather prevented us from going on our much loved walks. I love the toys we get in these boxes every month, and the kids gets so excited when we go pick up packages from the post office, and they spot these boxes. Ian loved his little wooden fruits with a little cutting knife.
I have been so grateful the last couple of days for the continuous provisions of the Lord, as be prepare to get out of the military. I found out last week to my car is paid off, for some reason I had it in my head that it will only be paid of this October, what I great surprise. I also received a nice surprise as we did our tax returns. I am feeling more and more confident in our decision to get out the military as the Lord so graciously opens many doors for us, to get on our feet, our from under debt, and just relying on him step by step. What an adventure that await us...
I have been hard at work to publish my arsenal of recipes on our cooking blog in the cook's kitchen. I will continue to add recipes when I have extra time on my hands.
It is almost February, which means in month we will be in sunny South Africa, visiting family! I am so excited I can hardly contain myself, it has been two years...
