The Art Of Thanksgiving Recovery

We are always so tired the day after Thanksgiving - not because we have no self control when it comes to food - but because the day before is spend baking and cooking all day, and the day of is spend entertaining - that is somewhat draining.

The art of the Thanksgiving recovery, consists of doing nothing - you heard right - NOTHING!!! We stay in our pajamas all day, we take naps whenever we feel like it, we catch up on all our favorite shows, we eat leftovers, and we snuggle little people.

Both kids ended up napping forever, which is really unusual, especially for Ian - he never naps! But of  course I had the hardest time falling asleep, so I read my book, and reflected on the thankful month.  I think the thing I am most thankful for is my little family - whatever life throws at us, we will overcome it together - as long as we have each other - nothing else matters.

I am rested, rejuvenated, replenished, and excited.  I am excited for phase two of the holiday season - Christmas.   We love Christmas.

This is how we spend the day after Thanksgiving.

Very early morning naps.

First time ever reading on daddy's kindle.

Her response to "Hayleigh how big are you?"

Happy December!
