Craft-tastic

The crafty bug bit me, and it bit me so hard.  All I want to do is make things and create things - I blame it on the colder weather, you know the weather I talked about, that keeps me home.

The kids and I have been working hard on all our fall crafts, learning about the leaves [or in the words of Ian "treestars'] changing color, turkeys for Thanksgiving, and just things we are thankful for.  We make things to use as fall decorations in the house, and it has been so much fun!! Thanks to my fun and crafty kids, I don't have to decorate for Thanksgiving they took care of it all for me.

Get some water paint, card stock, a sharpie, string, and scissors.  Paint, cut out, line with the sharpie, and paste on a string.

Make a turkey outline and color it, cut hand prints on some scrapbooking paper or card stock, and paste it to make the tail.

It has been fun to be crafty since it has forced me to de-stash instead of buying new things.  I have been wanting to get rid rid of lots of my fabric squares and I decided that a Modge Podge project was perfect, and this little white table need some character.  I had so much fun doing it, even though I had to de-glue the baby a couple of times, apparently it is really fun to get stuck to glue surfaces.

With the dark and cold winter ahead of us, I decided that it calls for project make a puppet show theater, as well us operation build a fort in permanent teepee style.  Nate and I are hard at work to finish these to projects soon, so that the kids will have some more things to entertain them on those cold snowy dark days.  I told you the bug bit me good.

I got our family pictures back yesterday, and I am so in love.  There will a post about it in the next couple of days!!

For now I am off to finish some projects, and take in the sight of my sweet babies playing by my feet with a cup of tea!!

Happy Monday, make it a great week.
