Rose Farm With Friends

We had such a fabulous day yesterday.  My parents have been so sick, and yesterday was a public holiday in South Africa, so the kids and I set out for a little adventure with friends.

I am so lucky to have these friends - friends that pretty much become family.  I have know Louis for thirteen years now, and have met his now wife Charlotte through him. They are also the kids godparents.   I absolutely love spending time with them, and just cherish our friendship so much.

We went to this rose farm, and it is absolutely stunning.  I am suck a complete sucker for flowers any flowers at that (Charlotte and I have that in common,) and a whole farm full of flowers, what is not to love?

A certain little girl (and her mama) were in their element.

We had a fabulous lunch out in the in gardens (bonus because the kids could play.)  I had my filling of rose milkshake (so so good.) I love the atmosphere and it was such a beautiful and sunny day.

I love this girl so so so much.  Our time together is always so special, so fun, and so hilarious.  She makes me laugh so hard.

Also on a side note - this dog has been around for a long time.

We also did this awesome little tractor ride, to see the rose mile.  It was so beautiful.  The kids loved it so much, I mean who doesn't like tractor and or train rides?

I just loved our day together, and the kids had such a blast.  They are so lucky to have them, because I know they love them so much.

Here is something crazy - I recreated a picture of the kids from 2016 and now 2018.  Can they just stop growing already?

Like I said before I am so glad that after all these years we are still such great friends, we face-time pretty much weekly, text all the time, and share life from afar.  Friends who pretty much become family is such a rare thing - so I will cherish this forever.

I love having little adventures with these kids of mine.  Life is so short and so precious, and I am determined to fill it all up with the most beautiful memories.  The other day I was trying to think what I use to do without kids - and I seriously can't remember.

I wouldn't change this for the world!  I am the luckiest to have these two as my little buddies.

Happy Thursday! I am so ready for the weekend.
