UNITED STATES: ATLANTA,GEORGIA - PART II

We have been in South Africa for pretty much a week, and I am so happy to acclimated and settled in.  This time has been a much smoother transition then the last time we were here, maybe because the kids are a little older?

I have been sifting through the last of the pictures from Atlanta (you can read and see part 1 here) so that I can start documenting all of our adventures in South Africa.

We spend our last full day in Georgia, at the Legoland Discovery Center.  We were suppose to do his on Friday but then all the rental car drama happened, and I told Ian we will make it happen because he loves his Legos.  Sunday morning was the perfect time to make it happen.

We booked tickets online (you save a little - yay) and made it right on time and went early.  The kids were so excited.

It is not a full on Lego Land (like this one in Germany) but more like a little discovery center - and it was a blast.

There was this super awesome and fun ride, where you get on this little moving car and you have lazer tag gun and you have to shoot the Lego skeletons and bad guys.  It was seriously so much fun - we all loved it and went several times.

The Lego brick factory was pretty cool, you could play and design your own bricks - colors, shapes, sizes and more.  It was kind of neat to see the process.

This kids is all about maps....

I absolutely loved the miniature Lego city they created.  Way impressive.  It was my favorite at the Lego Land in Germany as well.  I can totally see Ian doing this kind of stuff one day.

The hands on section was obviously a favorite among the kids.  Building cars to go a ramp, just building for fun, Lego friends, and treasure island fun.

I loved that the kids just enjoyed it so so so much.

My fave, from my boy <3

It was such a fun morning, and I am so happy it worked out that we were able to go.  The kids enjoyed it so much.

This was our last full day in Georgia before we flew out the following afternoon.  We were able to spend at least one night with friends.

I can't wait to maybe one day return and do these activities again, with less people and no crowds.

It wasn't exactly what we anticipated or expected, and we had to make a lot of last minute adjustments that at times created extremely stressful situations, but at least we were able to experience a few fun things.

It has been so much fun being home - we have rested and adjusted and are super excited for our adventures to begin this week.

Happy Monday!
