We celebrated Valentine's Day a few days early this year since we have so much going on today - you know packing - can I just make my dislike for packing public. I wish I could just wink and it be done.
Anyways we had a laid back Valentine's Day, had fun heart shaped food, played a bunch of games together (pretty much all afternoon) and soaked in our last day with Nate till April.
I was kind of lazy with coming up with Valentine's activities, as well as taking pictures, so we only have food pictures - but that is how I roll.
Breakfast is generally my favorite to make pretty, and set the table - I don't know why - there is something about sipping on something warm and creating a beautiful space.
I used this recipe for the pancakes.
We had dinner together - one of our favorite meals together - this is the time we learn everything about the kids, and it is hilarious.
We used a lazy pizza dough recipe that I will be sharing soon.
and cake for dessert.
I used my favorite chocolate cake recipe.
As I sat on the couch at the end of the day snuggling two tired little bodies, by heart was filled with so much love for them, I couldn't and still can't contain the pure joy they add to my life. I hope that my kids will know that they are loved in this world, and that they mean more to mean then anything I could possibility obtain. I would never trade motherhood for anything. So our Valentine's day revolved around the kids, and making memories with them.
We are packed and ready to go, and I am so excited to see my family soon.
Happy Valentine's Day!
Much love
xXx
