Celebrating: Happy Birthday Nate

We celebrated Nate's birthday last week, another one, I can't believe I have been so lucky to celebrate like ten birthdays with him.  Where does time go?

If you are new here, we are almost never able to celebrate any holiday or celebration on the exact date, it is generally a day before or a day after.  This was no exception.

Nate was suppose to work on his birthday so we scheduled it for Friday, well then he was able to move some things around, and the two of use were able to go away for a little overnight trip on his actual birthday (more on that later.) But we decided to celebrate on Friday with the kids.

I absolutely love love love birthdays.  It is just so much fun.  We keep it simply, yet pretty around here.

We are all about breakfast around here, so in good old breakfast style, we did a little waffle bar.

  We had a laid back day, just hanging out, tending the veggie patch, and making a cake.

  I use this recipe for the cheesecake.  It is seriously the best cheesecake ever, and everyone generally loves it.  It is super simple to make, and it takes only a few minutes.

  Thirty-one hoorays for Nate!
