I love all the diverse animal and wildlife parks that you are able to see and experience so much.
Like I said before my mom loves stuff like that, and I think she passed it along to me, because I can't help myself.
We went to this place called Mystic Monkeys and the only reason we squeezed it in was because when I called the lady said that they had teeny tiny tiger cubs that the kids could interact with (normally I don't go out of my way to pet tigers because we are in Africa, and I want my kids to experience African wildlife) but since these were super tiny we jumped at the opportunity and moved things around to make it happen.
*** DISCLAIMER. The place is really nice, but we were disappointed because we called ahead, made the plan, and when we got there the tigers were no longer avaible to take pictures with. Instead they offered to interact with a baby chimpanzee, and increased the price by five times of the original amount. So in other words if you decide to go, don't go with a major expectations, and don't tell your kids before hand to avoid them getting upset.
Other then the mentioned above, it was a fun experience for the kids to see so many different kinds of monkeys, and some other animals.
We did a little guided tour of the park, and saw so many monkeys from all over the world. It was neat.
They also have a variety of wild cats, included in the little guided tour.
We had a lovely outside lunch, in the shade.
We were in company of a chicken - I have never seen such a huge chicken in my life.
We spent the rest of the afternoon exploring the rest of the park.
Finding dandelions.
Finding flowers.
Exploring the park grounds, also the kids were able to run around a little to get rid of the wiggles for the ride home.
We looked at few smaller animals, and some birds that hung around.
Beetles and grasshoppers.
It was another fun adventure with my parents - and really anything we get to do with them is special since we don't get do that much with them.
Sometimes I wish I lived closer to them - my kids (well and my parents) are missing out on so much.
But for now we soak up the time we have together, and we make memories - we are pretty good at that!
Happy Thursday!
