It was time for us to do something that felt familiar, and somewhat true to ourselves. It was refreshing and rejuvenating, and really just good for the soul.
We truly had so much fun, and made so many new and fun memories, that we will be find of for years to come.
I love that the kids had fun, and that even now they will tell us little stories about Hawaii, and things that the loved the most - it is so precious!
We spend our last day, cramming in one more shave ice on the North Shore, one more stop in Honolulu for Malasada's and just little things that we had to skip because we were all so done and tired that day!

I might be slightly obsessed with TV show Hawaii Five-0, for real though it is fun show to watch, I owe all of my Hawaiian knowledge to that show - lol! Well I seriously wanted to see the one building that is int he show all the time - so we Nate and I sneaked out to take a quick picture of it in Honolulu. It was pretty awesome!
and then Leonard's bakery for delicious Malasada's. It was so good!
We back tracked all the way to the North Shore, and spend the morning in Haleiwa.
This is such a fun little "town" with lots of color - yummy food, and the cutest little stores to browse. We went early before it got to busy, and it was really great!
The best shave ice - ever - and we tried a few places. Matsumoto Shave Ice, it's well worth the trip. Shave ice for breakfast - well yes please - we can be cool parents every once in a while.
On our way back to the car we spotted this little guy....
So naturally Nate and Ian had to catch it.....
It was pretty cute, even if I have to say so myself!
We had to get another fix of North Shore Tacos - plus we just love the North Side of the island, and driving literally along the ocean line, is our absolute favourite! Our excuse - we needed full bellies before we boarded our late night flight - that night!
Fish and shrimp tacos - so so good!
As we slowly made our way back home to finish packing to catch our flight we stopped at a few other little places - you know mostly it was stopping every ten minutes (well that is what it felt like) so that someone could pee! Dang shave ice!
We flew back the evening after this adventure.
Hawaii have also stolen a piece of my heart. It is a beautiful place, something unique to experience.
It was a wonderful vacation, and we have made cherished memories to add to our story.
I am so grateful that Nate and I have shared yet another crazy adventure, and I never get tired of sharing them with him.
I will miss the beautiful scenery so much!
Good-bye Hawaii - thank you for an amazing time!
Happy Monday! With Nate starting class again today, our vacation time is officially over - long days and weeks awaits us!
