We spent our last weekend at Hanamua Bay! All I can say - AMAZING!!
This was my favourite beach to snorkel and explore - it is a State Park, and beautifully preserved.
All that brown in the water, that is coral - and in that coral lives the most beautiful colored fish that I have ever seen outside of an aquarium!
The hike down (and well up) is somewhat crazy - but sooo worth it!
We spent the day lounging in the sun, snorkeling for hours on end, and watching the kids play - Ian and Hayleigh sure love their cousins!
Just sitting on the beach, the scenery is absolutely gorgeous - I could sit here forever!
This sand was a all glittery, or as Hayleigh would like to say sparkly! It was so strange!
and this girl - boy is she adventurous! All she wanted to do was wear flippers, and go in deeper, and deeper to see all the fish!
We took her with us one time - and it was incredible. Some of the GIANT fish actually went up to the surface to look at her - she might just be the fish whisperer - I have never seen anything like that before!
I loved snorkeling here so much!

These are the fish that were very intrigued by Hayleigh! |
This was just so much fun!! It was seriously something I would not forgot - we all loved it so much, and we were so lucky to get in - this place gets full so fast that if you are not there super early there is no parking it closes... we made the block once and were so lucky to be able to go in on the way to our back up plan!
Hanamua Bay is must for anyone visiting Oahu! It was absolutely awesome!
I was so sad that the day was over - I would stay here forever and ever - there is so much to see and do.
We were so exhausted at the end for soaking up so much sun, and playing in the water forever! That is the best memories!!
Happy Sunday!
ps. Next up - good bye Hawaii!
