Sifting through the pictures make me miss it so much, and makes me want to move there forever - it is simply breathtaking and gorgeous, and pictures don't really do the beauty justice.
Nate's sister suggested a mini hike to a little waterfall, that the kids would be able to handle, and the reward would be a waterfall at the top.
Manoa Waterfall it is.
As soon as we stepped out of the car, and walked around a small corner, our breaths where taken away. I have never in my life seen anything like this, huge enormous trees - no picture can fully capture the magnitude of the trees we saw. Everything was so green, a rare scene where we live. It was beautiful.
We started the trail, even though it is mostly the same plants and trees everywhere, it didn't change the fact that it was beautiful.
The kids lasted up until probably the half way mark and then they were somewhat over it, it rained earlier that morning so if was muddy and slippery, well and we have been going non-stop since we arrived.
Ian somehow managed to convince his aunt Tash to give him a piggy back ride! ha
It was so worth it to make it to the top, and even the kids thought it was pretty cool.... It was gorgeous.
Making our way down from the waterfall went way smoother, and was much more effective - everyone walked on their own two feet - amazing!!! They even through in a few smiles, and laughter.
It was of course a little game for Hayleigh to see how many flowers (of all different kinds) we could find! I am convinced she is going to own a flower shop someday! She is obsessed with flowers - who can blame her - they are beautiful!

Not a flower, but we found pineapples - and if I am honest here, I had no idea this is what a pineapple plant looked like, and how they grew.... I learned something new.
The view coming down from the trail was the most beautiful, exotic, and breathtaking thing I have seen in a long time. It was just so green, and full, and giant!
Just like everything else we saw - this was so beautiful and we loved every minute of it. It was a ton of fun, and just some good hanging out time.
We also found this little guy along the way... a huge hit.
Happy Monday!
I officially have to start real live again!!
Stay tuned for more!
