So this year we ventured out a little farm set up in Lubbock, it was a little smaller then Fiddlestick Farm, and way cheaper and a ton of fun.
We were feeling a little under the weather, but we had promised the kids, and it was their homeschool day, so that meant one parents was free, and everyone there were homeschoolers.
It was the perfect fall day, sunshine, a little chilly breeze, and pumpkins every where!!
The corn maze was our favourite part, but all I can say it is huge, and it took us forever to get out of there. Ian was convinced we were lost and would have to sleep in the corn maze that night, but lucky we made it out.
We had lots of fun, lots of laughter, lots of silliness, and lots of learning moments - it was wonderful. Teaching the kids life is my favourite part. Especially when it clicks, when it all makes sense to them.

This weekend we started welcomed fall with cold rainy days, movies, and getting all our winter clothes out while packing up all the summer stuff.
This is my favourite time of the year, when I have so much motivation and inspiration I can barley contain it, last year I missed my own space during this time, and I am so happy to be at home, unpacked, pretty much settled, sharing life with my three favourite people.
We will be decorating for fall shortly, making our thankful tree (we missed it last year) and releasing all the creatively that has been building up in my head.
Ian is eager to start learning how to read, so that will hopefully be our focus for the next couple of months.
Stay tuned for more Cook family adventures!
Happy Fall day!
