A Little Nature Walk

Since we have been on this little morning walk kick for the past few weeks, we decided to make it fun and go on a nature walk with the kids.  I discovered this little gem, called the I-20 Nature Preserve last year, and we instantly fell in love.

A few days ago, I saw an aerial photo of the Preserve, after all the rain we have had, and we decided it is time to go back.

So instead of our morning walk around the duck pond, we decided to get up way early and head out on a little adventure.

One of the things that I love most about Nate's job is his schedule, the flexibility that we have to do fun things (especially during the week when it is not so busy everywhere.)

The kids loved it, especially looking for birds, bugs, rabbits, and flowers.

Just enjoy the pretty pictures, and if you haven't been yet, just go - you won't regret it! Oh, and slather on the bug/mosquito spray - you'll thank me later!

Anyways we just walked for hours, stop to admire, snack, and giggle because we are all so nervous about snakes.

This place is beautiful!

Summer is approaching fast, and before I know it my parents will here to visit!! I can't wait!!!

I'll be posting a recipe to the best oatmeal cookies ever, this week, so keep your eyes open!!

Happy Tuesday!!!
