Hayleigh is Two!

And just like that, my baby is two.  I prefer to just pretend that she is still a baby, and that the Independence that she is showing every day will, magically disappear, wishful thinking, I know.

Her birthday this year, was beautiful and sunny, and perfect just like the day of her birth, and that brought back so many beautiful memories.  Everyday I am in so much awe, at the joy and sometimes challenges she adds to our lives.

We celebrated two amazingly breathtaking years with our girl.

We started or day with breakfast....

And then gifts....

We decorated for our dinner party.  Everything in red, black, and white, since we went with a fun ladybug theme.  We made a beautiful ladybug cake (I got it right the first time, with limited tools -yay me) and ladybig themed food.  I think it was a hit.

Later we were joined by family to celebrate life.  I have to admit, it was  blast and everything I ever wanted, of course I wish my family could be here as well, but at this point I am just so thankful to have any family around.  She was able to play with friends on her birthday, and how cute is the next picture?

We had cake...

I have spend the last two years of my life watching her grow into a little girl.  I have watched her discover, explore, grow, and learn.  I have shed many tears, just at a complete loss due to her strong will, but I have spend more time rejoicing in the fact that she is mine.  A true little gift.  I am so completely humbled and honored to be worthy enough to be her mother, to teach her and nurture her.  The last two years have stretched me and molded me in so many areas, and I am grateful for the change and growth.  I can't wait to see what the next year has in store for us.

Happy second birthday, Hayleigh Elizabeth!!

I love you forever and always!
