South Africa 2010

As I am getting closer and closer to going back home for a couple of months, I couldn't help myself but to go look at old pictures, and reliving so many beautiful memories.

Our first trip back after the wedding was just after Ian was born in November of 2010.  What a cherished time it was, at that time Ian was the only great grand child in the family, so it was a huge deal to introduce my little man to the rest of the family.  It was also 2 years since I have been home.....

These pictures make me smile, and I love reflecting back, and reaching for old memories with the excitement to create new ones - this time with both kids.

We have come a long way since having Ian, and have grown as his mama, more confident and comfortable in my role.

Throw back 2010:

Our family gathering so we can see everyone, and we started the tradition of "spit braai" rotating a whole sheep over a small fire, and the out come is delicious! I know it looks barbaric....

Visiting the Lion Park.
{we always go here for Nate and his weird lion obsessions - but who cares - it is lots of fun}

Road trip to the Kruger National Park, with stops at the Blyde River Canyon and Pot Holes.

Nate and Ian's first safari experience, in the Kruger National Park.

Port Alfred

The beach house [Cannon Rocks] my happy place.  The memories I cherish most!!

Word has it that the resident owls are back at the beach house!

Family time!! I am so excited to spend time with the people I love most in the world, and introducing my newest baby [Hayleigh] to the clan.

I can't contain my excitement!! Ian and I are counting the days and in 12 days will  be in constant sunshine!!!

Stay tuned for throw back 2011!

Happy Tuesday!!!
