Happy New Year

Hello 2014.

We rung in the new year, passed out in bed with a little person snuggly placed in the middle snoring away.  Yes, we are that boring, but I would not really have it any other way, see I always wake up rigth at midnight when the fireworks go off [and I think this what WW II sounded like] - everyone usually sleep through it, but I just can't.

I end up laying in bed, reflecting in the last year, while admiring the sleeping people in my bed, and I get flooded with a sense of gratefulness, I am so grateful for the three people, who complete our little family.  I am blessed beyond measure and words.

We started a our little new years family traditions when Ian was born, we would make a bunch of delicious finger foods, get a couple of kid movies, and a few adult movies [by adult movies, I mean motion picture movies - get your head out of the gutter] and we eat and watch movies, and snuggle, until the little people fall a sleep and then we watch our movies, and sometimes we don't even make it through the movie...

This year my cousin joined us, and I am so happy to have some family around.  Even though Nate and I are old and boring - I am so happy Christopher joined us, and he spending another week with us!!

As 2013 came to an end I started to think about all the beautiful opportunities we had this year.  This was a soul-stretching year for me, with so many new adventures, and discoveries.  We traveled, we learned, we said good bye to good friends, we made new friends, we grew as individuals, and we grew as a family, we celebrated birthdays, we loved on each other, and we grew in our faith.
