We rung in the new year, passed out in bed with a little person snuggly placed in the middle snoring away. Yes, we are that boring, but I would not really have it any other way, see I always wake up rigth at midnight when the fireworks go off [and I think this what WW II sounded like] - everyone usually sleep through it, but I just can't.
I end up laying in bed, reflecting in the last year, while admiring the sleeping people in my bed, and I get flooded with a sense of gratefulness, I am so grateful for the three people, who complete our little family. I am blessed beyond measure and words.
We started a our little new years family traditions when Ian was born, we would make a bunch of delicious finger foods, get a couple of kid movies, and a few adult movies [by adult movies, I mean motion picture movies - get your head out of the gutter] and we eat and watch movies, and snuggle, until the little people fall a sleep and then we watch our movies, and sometimes we don't even make it through the movie...
This year my cousin joined us, and I am so happy to have some family around. Even though Nate and I are old and boring - I am so happy Christopher joined us, and he spending another week with us!!
