Twas The Night Before Christmas

And it was the night before Christmas, tired and excited kids were snugly nestled into their beds, awaiting the big day. And mama's got to sit down with a cup of tea, and dream about their sweet faces in the morning.

Well that scenario doesn't happen in real life, well at least I don't think so.  We had our Christmas eve one night early since Nate was on shift on Christmas eve, and I wanted him to be apart of our Christmas eve, our fake Christmas eve was magical - the real Christmas eve was a hot mess.

As the kids get older I love holidays way more.  Their excitement drives me to make it special and fun. To create this little family traditions, that neither Nate or I grew up with.

I love coming up with little ways to make Christmas more magical, and Ian knows that Santa is not really real, and we don't do the naughty or nice part of it.  For us Santa is just a generous soul, who wants to do good in the world.

We continued in our tradition of Christmas jammies, reindeer food, and a new Christmas movie, and this year we added breakfast for dinner, all sorts of fun little breakfast foods made in into Christmas and winter shapes.  We had fun, and I love doing this with my kiddos, they are only little for so long...

Our open me at sunset box tradition continues.

Settling down watching new Christmas movies - this year, the new Veggie Tales Christmas movie, and Merry Christmas Thomas.

Merry Christmas Eve to all, and to all a good night!
